Wyatt and his band.

Snow Job is the second 6teen hour-long special and is the final episode of Season 2. It aired in Canada on December 21, 2006 and remains unaired in the United States.

When the biggest snow storm of the year causes a snow day, the Gang spends their time preparing for a big dance.

The biggest snow storm of the year causes a snow day, meaning that there is no school or work, which, much to Ron the Rent-a-Cop's displeasure, makes many teens head down to the Galleria Mall. While Jonesy and Jude hang out and have fun, Wyatt's got band rehearsal and Jen, with some help from Nikki and Caitlin, continues finishing up arrangements for their school's Winter Wonderland-dance (due to her being a student council officer) while also trying out different hairstyles to wear to the dance. Other things that are going on is that Caitlin's trying to get a boy she has a crush on to go the dance with her, Wyatt has a crush on a female bandmate named Marlowe and Nikki gets summoned by Chrissy to work at the Khaki Barn despite the snow day.

After Wyatt has some trouble asking Marlowe to go to the dance with him, he ends up going to Caitlin for help. As a backup plan, Wyatt and Caitlin make a pact that if neither of them are able to go to the dance with the people they have a crush on, they'll go with each other. After Jonesy gets fired from his latest job and goes to hang out with Nikki (who's helping Jen sell tickets to the dance), the gang gets bored and comes up with the idea to have some fun by going skating in the mall's ice rink. Nikki's the only one who's not looking forward to it (mostly because she's not that good at ice-skating), but a little encouragement from Jonesy ultimately gets her to do it. While they're skating together, Jen and Caitlin start talking about how it's obvious that Jonesy and Nikki still have feelings for each other--while this is happening, Jude becomes enthralled with the Zamboni-machine and later befriends the driver, an older man named Bruno.

However, things take a wrong turn when Jonesy ditches Nikki to skate with Tara Johansen, who's considered to be the hottest girl at their school. Nikki gets mad at Jonesy and starts beating him up, but the fight ultimately ends when Ron arrests them and put them in the mall-jail--Jonesy and Nikki start arguing with each other and both express gratitude at how they're no longer dating. But when Jonesy almost has a panic attack due to his claustrophobia, Nikki comforts him and Ron finally lets them go. Meanwhile, a chaperone for the dance had to back out, so Jen has to find a last minute replacement so the dance doesn't get cancelled. After explaining the dilemma to her boss while at the Penalty Box, Coach Halder offers to act as the chaperone, which Jen's obviously reluctant to do. Jen only agrees to let Coach Halder be a chaperone after he promises to give her three days off (with pay) the next month, and she also makes him promise to let the students at the dance have fun.

Jude ends up bonding with Bruno and Wyatt and Caitlin are still having some trouble getting Marlowe and Steph (the boy Caitlin has a crush on) to go to the dance with them. In the end, Caitlin just ends up creeping out Steph while Wyatt successfully gets Marlowe to be his date for the dance (Marlowe admits that she was actually planning to ask Wyatt herself to go to the dance with her). Due to Marlowe agreeing to be Wyatt's date for the dance, he can't be Caitlin's backup date--Caitlin's dismayed that she may actually have to go to dance by herself. While at Grind Me, Caitlin's upset about "two guys saying no to [her] in one day." Nikki tries cheering her friend up by pointing out that she could just go stag (meaning by herself/without date), but Caitlin confesses that she's not as emotionally strong as Nikki is to be able to do that.

While Jude and Bruno are bonding, Bruno lets Jude drive the Zamboni, but when Jude ends up accidentally driving it through the mall and crashing it into a display at the Penalty Box, Ron revokes Jude's driver's license (as well as banning him from the mall), which means that Jude can't drive them to the dance (the gang had a party bus that Jude was supposed to drive them in). Also, Jonesy's able to get Tara Johansen to go to the dance with him after her boyfriend, Justin, dumps her (over the phone) for Tricia Holmes. Nikki tries warning Jonesy against going out with Tara, even pointing out that she's probably just using him to get back at her ex, but Jonesy doesn't listen to her, as he's convinced that Tara really does like him.

After Nikki and Jonesy get into another argument, Jen goes to talk to her about what's going on with her and Jonesy. Nikki admits to Jen that she still has feelings for Jonesy, but isn't sure what to do, especially now that he's going to the dance with Tara. Jen encourages Nikki to go to the dance despite not having a date, and points out that she won't be alone since she'll be with her and the rest of the gang. Once the night of the dance comes, everyone gathers at the Lemon, where everyone except Caitlin is all dressed up and ready to go. Jen comes in with a stylish updo and a longer version of the dress she wore in It's Always Courtney, Courtney, Courtney!, but her look is temporarily ruined after Robbie drops a water balloon on her. Nikki comes up with a plan to help Jen--she takes her and Caitlin to the Khaki Barn, where Chrissy's helping Kristen and Kirsten get ready for the dance, and Nikki asks for their help in getting Jen ready for the dance.

The Clones agree to it after Nikki offers to work the sale that Chrissy was originally going to work so Chrissy can go to the dance in Nikki's place. After Jen's makeover is done, the Clones give Caitlin one so she can go to dance with them--the Clones explained that they were all going stag and reveal that a group of Greeter Gods from Albatross & Finch are going stag as well. After the girls meet the others at the fountain in the atrium, Jen's date compliments her and Wyatt reveals that Robbie got caught and is now sitting in the mall-jail as punishment. Jude ends up driving the gang (minus Nikki) to the dance on the Zamboni--after Jude explained his driving dilemma to Bruno, he helped by letting Jude drive the Zamboni, as well as retiring and naming Jude as his successor. As a result, Jude has to have his driver's license back and can't be banned from the mall, since no one would be able to drive the Zamboni.

After getting to the dance, everyone has fun (even with having Coach Halder as a chaperone), and Jonesy finally realizes that Nikki was right about Tara. He dumps Tara in front of everyone at the dance (including her ex-boyfriend and Tricia), and, after a tip from Darth Mall, goes to the Galleria to look for Nikki. He eventually finds her sitting by herself in the ice rink, crying. After Jonesy explains that he dumped Tara, and he and Nikki have a brief argument (during which they basically admit to still having feelings for each other), Jonesy finally asks Nikki for the real reason on why she had previously broken up with him.

Nikki confesses that she was afraid that if their relationship ultimately didn't work out, she'd end up losing the one guy she ever really cared about. A dramatic scene shows where they apologize to each other and share a kiss, resignifying their status as a couple. Nikki closes down the Khaki Barn for the night, puts on a dress, and she and Jonesy leave for the dance. Upon arriving at the dance, the rest of the gang is happy to see that Jonesy and Nikki are finally back together.

In the end, Caitlin dances with one of the Greeter Gods, Jude scores three girls, Jen enjoys all her hard work, and Wyatt plays a beautiful song onstage with his band while the rest of the gang dances to it.

  • Ron: Hundreds of teens with nowhere else to go. It's Armageddon!
  • Ron: This can't be happening!
  • Jude: So if we've got no work and no school, what do we do?
Jonesy: The question is, what do we not do!
  • Ron: Mark my words! By the end of this day, your butt will be mine!
  • Wyatt: Sir, I think you're overreacting.
    Ron: AM I?!?!?
  • Darth: No! Princess, come back! Julie!
  • Wyatt's Brain: Say something! C'mon! Say something before this gets really weird!
    (Wyatt drops his taco.)
Marlowe: I think you dropped your taco.
  • Jonesy: How about we go to the dance together, sweet lips?
  • Coach Halder: You know, I never made it to my dance. The girl I loved said I was too intense. DOBBS! I WANT THOSE BASKETBALLS STACKED! NOW! NOW! Oh, what I wouldn't give to go back to high school. (to Jen) You go get 'em at that dance, tiger!
  • Marlowe: What are you doing in my bag?
  • Jude: Yes! I rock the coleslaw!
  • Ron: Abusing cabbage products is a ticketable offense.
  • Jude: I will ride it! Oh yes! I will ride it!
  • Jonesy: Wow, you really can't skate.
Nikki: (beating on him) You said you wouldn't let me go!
  • Jude: Wicked cool hangout, bro!
Zamboni Driver: You know, back in '82 when I started this job, driving the Zamboni really meant something. People respected you.
Jude: So, are you the guy who picks up the hockey players' teeth when they get knocked out?
    (The driver nods.)
    Jude: Awesome!
  • Zamboni Driver: Gotta get goin'. Time to condition the ice.
Jude: (as "Pomp and Circumstance" plays) Dude, I beg you. Let me answer that burning desire in the heart of every hockey fan. To just once drive the Zamboni.
    Zamboni Driver: Go for it.
  • Jonesy: (seeing Jude driving the Zamboni through the mall) Dude! What are you doing?!?
  • (Caitlin wedges herself into the penalty box, still wearing her gigantic penguin costume.)
Caitlin: (crying) Jen! Steph called me a giant penguin stalker, and now I have to go to the dance with Wyatt!
Coach Halder: Boy, this is way out of my league.
  • Coach Halder: Fun is my middle name. Yes! Oh, wait. I better go rent a tux before they sell out! Man, I love those penguin suits!
    (Caitlin burst into tears.)
  • Jonesy: You look really pretty tonight, Julie.
    Julie: Oh, really? Thanks.
  • Darth: (making an entrance) Julie my intergalactic queen! I should have treated you better! Give me another chance and I promise, I will rock your universe!
(They kiss, and the crowd cheers.)
Tara: Revenge of the losers. (She and her friend giggle.)
Jonesy: Okay, that's it. I've had enough of you and your stupid friends.
    (They gasp.)
Jonesy: Nikki was right about you. You are as shallow as a puddle. I'm outta here.
(He moves off. Tara's former boyfriend chuckles at Tara's astonishment.)
Jonesy: (encountering Darth) Nice, Darth. Sweet moves, buddy.
Darth: (hi-fiving him) Thanks, Jonesy. Hey, a little tip, stud to stud? Nikki's at the mall, alone. And my Jedi sense tells me she wouldn't be averse to seeing you right now.
Jonesy: Thanks, man. I owe you.

  • Jonesy's job: Employee at CiCi's Sombreros
Reason for firing: Refused to wear the sombrero that was part of his work uniform.
  • This is the one of the only two hour long specials on the show. The other is Dude of the Living Dead.
    • Bye Bye Nikki can, in some cases, be considered one as well, as it premiered as one hour-long special in Canada (although in subsequent cases it has been treated as two episodes).
  • Running Gag: Jen trying several different hairdos throughout this episode in preparation for the dance, with most of them getting not-quite-positive reactions.
  • Jonesy's employer at CiCi's Sombreros actually changes gender (in the Netflix-version, it's a man, but in others, it's a woman).
  • Jen's date for the dance is never named.
  • Nikki's favorite color is revealed to be a light purple, as Jen throws her corsage to Jonesy and tells him "It's Nikki's favorite color!"
  • This is one of the few times in the show where Nikki is shown crying.
  • Nikki's not that good at ice-skating while Tara's shown to be very good at it.
  • According to Jen, Jonesy still keeps a photo of him and Nikki in his room, even though they broke up previously.
  • Tara was previously seen in the episodes A Ding from Down Under (as a customer at Burger McFlipster's) and Over Exposed (as part of Liza Lomen's entourage).
  • Wyatt's band performs the song "You're the Reason" at the dance, which he wrote for Marlowe.
  • Marlowe plays bass guitar.
  • The name of Wyatt's drummer is revealed to be Connie in this episode.
  • The girl Jen has as her secretary is one of the Pre-teen Girls.
  • Jen was apparently elected to the student council at one point, as her being a VP of the council is the reason for her having to plan the dance.
  • In this episode it is revealed that Jude's mom drives the school bus for a preschool and is allowed to use the bus for personal transport.
  • This is the first appearance of Marlowe, and the first time that Wyatt is seen playing in a band. Before this episode, he generally seemed to play music alone, as seen in Idol Time at the Mall and The Lords of Malltown.
  • The dance in question is apparently the Winter Wonderland Dance.
  • Goof: Despite the fact that this is supposed to be winter, Marlowe gets an ice cream cone from a stand, and she's not the only one. This is especially noticeable because supposedly the storm of the year, a gigantic blizzard, is going on outside.
  • Morgana makes a cameo in this episode.
  • Goof: Midway through a scene, Jen's hair switches styles when the camera cuts away from her, with no explanation whatsoever as to the sudden change.
  • Apparently the Galleria Mall has a statute on the books that makes it illegal to "abuse cabbage products."
  • Goof: When Jonesy goes over to talk to Tara, she is wearing a purple and off-white figure skating dress. When they come back, she is wearing her usual purple shirt and dark purple skirt.
  • Jonesy's claustrophobia, first mentioned in The Fake Date, reappears here when he's trapped in the jail cell.
  • In this episode, Robbie is shown to have a ball gun that's almost identical to the model that Stanley always carries.
  • Steph is seen talking to his friend about a certain hockey player whose last name is "Ronan", who apparently scored an important goal. Ronan was previously mentioned in The Khaki Girl; he allegedly played for the Maple Leafs and had scored only three goals the previous season.
  • The "penguin movie" Caitlin refers to when talking to Steph is "Happy Feet".
  • The dress the Clones produce for Caitlin to wear to the dance is the Look At Me dress from The One with the Text Message. Given that they said the Khaki Barn had no more stock of this dress, it was either reordered or one of the Clones had kept their dress in storage at the Khaki Barn.
  • Jude appears in drag yet again in this episode; he appeared as a girl in Mr. Nice Guy, It's Always Courtney, Courtney, Courtney! and Waiting to Ex-Sale.
  • The hairstyle that Jen finally settles on is the same as the one she wore to Club X-S in It's Always Courtney, Courtney, Courtney!
    • Goof: Even though this hairstyle was seen in the aforementioned episode, Jen says that she's never had an updo before.
  • The name of the former Zamboni driver is revealed to be Bruno.
  • Legally speaking, Ron has no jurisdiction to actually revoke Jude's driver's license--only actual law enforcement can do that. But Ron could have Jude reported to the actual police, who then could revoke's Jude's license.
